What you need to know

Gold loans need minimal paperwork because the gold is the security. KYC is compulsory; PAN and income proof are needed for larger amounts.

Documents checklist

  • Photo ID: Aadhaar, passport, voter ID or driving licence
  • Address proof (if different)
  • PAN card or Form 60
  • Two passport-size photographs
  • Income proof for EMI loans or loans needing repayment-capacity assessment
  • Land/crop documents for agri gold loans
  • Purchase bills or ownership declaration if the lender asks
