Overview

EGRs are securities issued against physical gold deposited in SEBI-accredited vaults. They trade on stock exchanges (BSE and NSE) and can be converted to physical gold. EGRs are one of the regulated alternatives SEBI named in its November 2025 caution on digital gold.
