Frequently asked questions
Should I choose a longer tenure for a smaller EMI?
A longer tenure lowers the EMI but raises total interest — on ₹5 lakh at 11%, going from 3 to 5 years cuts the EMI by about ₹5,500 but adds about ₹63,000 of interest. Choose the shortest tenure whose EMI keeps your FOIR comfortable.
Is the EMI the same every month?
Yes for fixed-rate loans. The interest part falls and the principal part rises each month.
